I have an LG 49ub850v led tv. I sent the tv to a local repairman. He said that the problem is the mainboard. On mainboard there is a red light near LD2300 component. What is the problem? Any solution that i can repair by myself? Can you help me?
Hi @trgyergun , Without a schematic for the mainboard it will be very difficult unless there is something obvious e.g. burnt out component or a dry solder joint etc. Not trying to dissuade you but component level fault finding is not for novices I can’t find any free manuals online but here is one if you want to buy it. There are others, just search for LG 49ub850v service manual to get results that may suit you better. You haven’t said what level of experience you have for testing electronic circuits so as well as having the manual you would also need to have a DMM (digital multimeter) and know how to use it safely when testing near exposed lethal AC voltage which is in the back of a TV. Also the ability to read schematic diagrams and know what the various components do etc. Apologies if you know how to do this already The alternative is to find a replacement mainboard. If you decide to do this make sure that you get an exact same replacement board By this I mean that all the information that is printed or on a sticker on the original board itself i.e. board number and version, matches the information on the replacement board (or verify with the seller that it is compatible) as the same board can be used in different brands of TV as well as in different countries and may be slightly modified to suit the particular make and model of the TV and where it was first sold. Installing the wrong board can actually damage the TV
