Hello there,I found quite a bit of info about this issue but I can’t figure out what is the cause. Many posts talk about the FL11 being damaged when disconnecting the battery causing issues with Gas Gauge Capability. Unfortunately I don’t have anything else to take photo of the pins with, but from what I could tell it should still be there. I downloaded iBackUpBot to confirm and it shows gas gouge as true as you can see in the screenshot.
I bought new charging cable to rule out it’s not an issue, I tried charging it with my USB port on a laptop, I tried using charger from my old HTC with the new cable with no results. I tried resetting my settings, and finally I put the phone through DFU, still same issue. I don’t know what else should I try. If there are any people who could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sounds like the so called fake charging caused the well known U2 IC, that may get damaged when using aftermarket cables. Unless you live in country with very very low labor costs, a preowned 5S would cost you less than a board repair.
