I purchased a new battery from you guys and installed it. When I installed it it was dead. Pluged it in and it took 30min for it to turn on, Let it charge till it was completely charged,. Now when it gets to 50% it shuts off saying battery dead. Did I get a bad battery
You could have gotten a bad battery. This is one symptom. Contact sales@ifixit.com and tell them about your problem.
Did you put the battery grounding clip back on under the battery clip? Because if you don’t have it on, you may have a issue like this. Exact battery ground clip installation, iPhone 4s?

New batteries have never been charged so you set the life of that battery with the first 3-4 complete charge/discharge cycles that every seller recommend to do. You should let the battery charge with the phone off for 10-12 hours for these cycles then you can use it as you want. It makes a big difference, that’s why I think that the battery you have is acting like this. If after making it charge and discharge like this it keeps working bad you probably have a bad battery.
