Hi ! My iPhone 6 fell down from my bed (says the wife) and the next morning onwards, I started getting terrible battery life. It would only last for 4 hrs with 100% charged to 0. I also noticed slightly warm display. especially the top part. Touch ID stopped working too. I replaced the battery myself but still, I’m getting the same issues. Shall I take out the logic board and check for any loose connections/shorts ? By the way, the battery drains even when the display is off (like when the phone is locked).

The drop may have damaged the front camera flex, causing it to draw excess current. This would explain the heat you feel. The Home button flex may also have been damaged. I would open up the phone and inspect the connections. I would also do a thorough visual inspection of the flexes to see if there are any tiny tears or other damage. To properly troubleshoot, I would disconnect the front camera flex and see if that solves the problem. If not, then continue to disconnect flexes one at a time until you isolate the problem. Always disconnect the battery before each new iteration.
