Hi i bought a imac that didnt boot so i decided i would buy a new power supply, today i set to fitting it, going well but i got to the connecting power and noticed blue and brown wires in on the connector are dont connect to the same color. Also, just to add the plug is plugged in right as per tab!! Update (10/30/2019) Hi dan. its the bottom power supply, the darker colour one. I’ll try and do are better picture. regards dave

Look at the connector. There is a push tab release on the connector and it should only fit one way onto the plug in. Wire colors may vary, mine are all black.
@dosman something does not look right on your connector. Post a picture that is less distorted. You do want to stick with Blue/Blue Brown/Brown until proven otherwise
