Hey guys I accidentally broke off a small piece off the logic board from my MacBook Pro 16” while shoving some thermal pads in a crevasse. What did I just break? It seems to run fine, tried stress testing the gpu and cpu. Update (09/07/2020)
Update (09/07/2020) Hi, thank you for your response. Here’s a picture of the said area. Unfortunately, I do not know how to find you the part number. How can I find it? The specs for this MacBook is i9 2.3 ghz 5500m 4gb. Thanks!

according to the schematic that part is reference designator RA850 which is a 0.001 ohm 1% 1/2W resistor in a 0306 package. Looking at the resistance of this beast, I bet it’s used as a sensing resistor
It’s hard to say from the pictures you provided. If the MBP is running fine, I’d assume it was a capacitor. While it’s always better to replace parts that were damaged, many small capacitors do not have a “do or die” effect on the pcb. If yu let us know the part number of the logic board, we can tell you exactly what it is. Also a zoomed in picture of the missing part area would help.
