I got my iPhone on the 23rd and haven’t bought Apple care yet. I dropped it on the face on a driveway from about my belly button height on the 28th, and the screen is cracked pretty good. I know that I can buy AppleCare+ on the phone or online and they run a diagnostic, but I was wondering if cracked glass would show up on that. I have seen some people talking about them checking gyroscope logs and things like that, but I don’t think it would show up since the inpact was so small, but the screen didn’t stand a chance with the rocks. Do you guys think I would be able to still buy AppleCare?

you can buy apple care

Yes they can detect that even if the touch is still functioning.

AppleCare, or course, will not handle a cracked screen. You have coverage for the first year for free. Buying AppleCare will extend that warranty an additional two years. You can take it out anytime during that first year. Apple will void the warranty if they can tell the screen has been replaced by someone other than them. I have not worked on an iPhone 7 yet so I don’t know if the screen is identifiable. If Apple does the repair, it will still be covered.
