I broke my 32gb Nexus 5 but im possitive the memory is still in tact. Im buying another nexus 5 and want to know if it is possible to open it up and put in my old memory into it?

yaheyaarakil you are correct. The memory cannot be removed from the Nexus 5 it is not made to support a standard micro sd card, instead the memory is stored via the internal RAM. However to answer your motherboard inquiry, it CAN be replaced. You can access easily by carefully prying off the back cover held by plastic clips and removing the battery and mid frame along with the interfering components. iFixit already logged the teardown for your use : Nexus 5 Teardown And the part can be purchased online for about 80 bucks, plus shipping of course. Id recommend searching eBay first before venturing toward other avenues.

I am fairly sure that you can’t replace the memory card (correct me if I’m wrong) The memory card is usually soldered (embedded) into the Main Board. There is no way of replacing the memory card without some soldering skills. Visit a certified technician for more accurate answers.

If the broken Nexus 5 was signed into your google account, you can sign the new or repaired nexus 5 in to the same google account and restore your files.

Can one unsolder the main board’s SanDisk and access the data on it somehow if the mobile itself is broken?

Try http://www.wugfresh.com/. It seems to allow for data backup depending upon the mobile state. Also can perform Android OS reset or Upgrade / Downgrade etc only drawback is - available on windows platform only
