I bought an SE to replace my old 5s. I came up with the crazy idea to swap the Front Facing cameras since the SE is awful compared to the 5s. As far as I can tell most of the parts related to the front of the phone and the screen are interchangeable. I spoke with an iPhone repair guy and he said that they have different flex cables. Does anybody know know if my Frankenstein phone will work? Or will I just break two phones? Thanks in advance! Daniel
The iPhone repair tech told you the truth, the SE front camera cable has a different connector that won’t match the one on the 5S logic board. Please ignore answers telling you otherwise, they don’t know what they are talking about, time wasters who can’t tell the difference between a horse and a donkey.
No, the camera on the SE is higher quality than the one on the 5s, so I would think that they are different.
