I have 2 of these printers in my house and whenever they scan they scan in grayscale they wont scan in color from any computer I have even when not over the network On top of that 2 of my computers will lose this printer what do I do?

All you need to do is to download a fresh driver and printer software from your manufacturer`s website and install it. This shall most probably will fix your issue and you may need to share your printer once again after re-installation.
