Hello, Do you know what points to check for a Canon 77D camera that has taken water? Are there fuses on the electronic cards to check? Thank you in advance
Whenever it comes to liquid damage, you need to disassemble the whole device and give it a good inspection. If you can get someone to look at the components under a microscope, that would be even better. But it’s not very practical or economical to repair liquid damage. I understand these cameras can be expensive, but liquid damage will leave little electrical gremlins that will appear out of nowhere and if you really want to fix them, you’re going to spend more than the cost of a replacement. But if you decide to give it a shot, use 99% ISO alcohol and a toothbrush to clean any corrosion and be sure to take pictures of where the corrosion is before cleaning. Good luck!
