The Glass on my screen cracked, at the same time half of the screen doesn’t respond to touch. does that mean I have to replace both the glass and Digitizer?
Yes we would have to replace the whole thing, as the touch screen module for the ASUS are laminated together with the cover glass.
or if your lucky and have the screen sporaddicly work and make it into the bluetooth settings, there is a great item made by favi that is a bluetooth mouse and keyboard combo, that works with my broken one, after getting it to work get an app called bluetooth autoconnect, and if the keyboard gets disconnected it will automaticly reconnect, the mouse will even unlock the tablet and wake it up from sleep mode.
Kevin Gorton, yes it does. It is possible that the cable for the LCD has dislodged, but ultimately is sound like you will have to replace both parts.
if you have the ability to hook up a mouse via usb my dell venu 11 pro got ran over everything still works except screen is cracked and has no response to touch but with a mouse plugged in I can still use it screen still has good picture just with a lot of cracks
I had the same problem. If you have a tablet with a keyboard attachment, carefully put it onto the keyboard. The mouse should still work, but the touchscreen won’t.
Yes, as soon as touch is not responding you have to order a new digitizer along with a screen.
Or you could get hdmi cable and use your big screen tv and use a bluetooth or usb mouse and keyboard combo. All I did was velcro (lot of velcro, lol) it to the back of my tv which is hanging on my wall and it seems t to be working fine for me… and I mean lot of velcro due to the reason my screens messed up lol but I just use my living room tv for it and you get everything from youtube and netflix to gaming or whatever it is you like to do on your pc.
Hello, I have cracked my TF300T screen, so I get one from ebay and replaced, but after replacing it still does not feel any touch. I have done everything step by step by the instructions in ifixit, but it still works only with the keyboard. So any ideas where is the problem?
