Chosen Solution

Hey guys, I’m new here and just bought a used iPhone with a bunch of problems. It doesn’t have any audio output, using both in ear speaker and speaker. Also, the phone is not picking up any wifi signals. I decided to open the phone and I seen that the long ribbon cable attaching to the phone at the top of the rear of the display has a rip in it. Could this be causing these issues? Can I just replace the assembly with a new one or no? I didn’t check anything else beyond these things so I’m not sure if it has any other problems, but I also noticed that the taptic engine is rattling and seems like it’s broken or loose. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

hello iphoneX19, if possible, check the radio module first. Insert your sim card and find out if the phone connects. If not - write here. Coming back to your question: a long cable to connect to the call loudspeaker, a set of sensors to facilitate the speech functionality and use of Face ID. Unfortunately, the Face ID driver is digitally signed with the element in the mentioned sensor unit. Not having it, or installing a different one will result in the loss of Face ID functionality. But don’t worry, a broken cable can be repaired. I keep reading … no WiFi. The lack of sound is certainly related to the lack of WiFi. Looks like you bought a rape phone from a sadist home mechanic. Hope the purchase was cheap , because it will cost you a bit to repair (if you don’t do it yourself). First question: can you solder microelectronics? This is the key question. If not, let it go - the X and subsequent models are extremely fragile and will not tolerate the shoulder of experience. Think about what I wrote. However, if you undertake the repair yourself, I will try to assist remotely :-) (if necessary, I’m here). regards and Merry Christmas.
